About Us

Our mission is to be the #1 therapeutic art center in Chicago, placing value on demystifying art therapy for the community and providing an art-based relational approach to not only better serve our clients, families and community, as well as, be a space where art therapists grow, learn, and thrive.

At Dandelion, we pride ourselves on providing the best care for all of our clients, families as well as our staff. We have built a reputation on providing clients with an art-based therapeutic approach blending art psychotherapy and art as therapy while being both artistically and clinically sound therapists. We place a significant value on the belief that creativity and art therapy can be used for growth, transformation, relaxation, healing and even fun. Art therapy is our sole focus - our team is dedicated to developing, learning and advancing the practice of art therapy.

We practice a studio-based model where you are surrounded by opportunities to create. Our space looks more like an art studio than a traditional therapy atmosphere, and often we are making art with you. We rely on a relational, strength-based and collaborative approach in our work while utilizing clinical techniques and skills.

Dandelion’s philosophy relies on the foundation that we wholeheartedly believe that creativity, art and the relationship can develop healing, growth and transformation in individual’s lives. Our therapists will utilize their own strengths and creative talents to bring our philosophy to life in each and every session.
